Short exhortation # 3 —Persecution of the Church

"O LORD how long must we suffer. How long do we have to face trials and tribulations in life. I thought being partakers of His holiness would bring us joy and prosperity, and yet, brought us misery and poverty." — says the Christian.

Despite striding towards His holiness, a measly 3 step forward and 2 steps back, a true Christian progresses towards His kingdom. Either through blessings nor curses, either toil nor rest, abudance nor scarcity, breaking point nor making point, field of throrns and thistles nor a garden of flowers and fruits, eitherway, the light of Christ conquers the kindgom of darkness and His light shines upon him. And yet, we tend to ignore Him most when we have burdens to face through our earthly lives for the sake of tranquility. Little do they know that His power was made perfect in our weakness. And yet, we neglect the perfect Gift of God, a Gift that has been freely given to us.

Truly we are blessed to freely read His word, but a curse to refute Him with all the worldly comfort in our hearts.  A true Christian, persecuted by draconian laws, willing to traverse through a rocky mountain just to drink a drop of His word while Christians would cling into man-made beliefs, substituting Jesus Himself for the sake of religious ceremonies and ungodly rituals rather than making Himself the center of our lives just for the sake of entering His kingdom and saving himself, Christ would never be known be known to them.

"We thank you LORD that we partake in Your suffering, for it would give us comfort, we thank You LORD for making Yourself known, we thank You for the grace we do not deserve, we thank You LORD for the hardships we go through, we thank You for being persecuted for Your Namesake, for we will witness Your presence, that we would be a living witness for Your own glory and we thank You LORD for Jesus Christ that we do not deserve and yet Your Love overflows"— says the true Christian.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
