Short Exhortation # 2 — Kindling of the Flame
I was weak, yet Christ's strength was made perfect in my weakness that gives me the courage to endure. I had a house yet there's not a home to live in. I had an abundance of food, water, clothing and shelter yet I was naked, hungry, thirsty and homeless. Physically healthy, but spiritually dead. Knowing Him with my mouth and yet, I do not know Him by heart. Having the the strength and opportunity to fill His glory and yet cowardice takes place. Provided with good news etched into our faces, yet the outcome was bad news to us sinners. A loving and caring family, yet no brother nor sister to take refuge in. A God that laid His life for me and yet I kept my life as my own.
What is my purpose? I asked the LORD.
Every event was ordained by the LORD has endless meanings. The breath we take, the steps we make, the very challenges in life that God has given to strengthen us to glorify His name, yet we don't acknowledge Him.
The LORD has made everyone through His creation due to His goodness and yet we chose to rebel against Him. Loving ourselves just to gratify our carnal desires instead of Him being glorified.
A mere prayer is useless if we do not know Him, if we do not believe Him and if we do not serve Him, if we do not love Him.
As the LORD's creation, we are made to glorify Him. We would have to set our hearts and our minds in Him and yet we only call Him when we need Him the most instead of preaching His Word and walking according to His will daily. Those who do not know Him, those who do not serve Him and those who do not love Him thinks that sharing the good news is not worth laying our very lives which Christ freely gave us due to His grace and mercy.
Passing through the storm, we continue to fill our pockets with earthly riches. Something we can not bring to His kingdom, something that can not glorify His name.
At the end of the day, we would have all of our actions taken into account. For much is given much is requiredthins
The LORD would ask His very creation:
What did you do with the blessings I have given to you?
Who is Christ to you?
And does Christ know you?
