Laying down on hazy afternoon, after transitioning majority of my belongings to a new place the Lord has gifted me, I found myself lazy and exhausted with a slight headache. Not wanting to get up and convincing myself an excuse not to proclaim the good news, but there will never be an excuse when proclaiming the good news given by our good Lord; Christ himself was flogged, beaten, humiliated, stripped off of his clothes, crowned with thorns, spat on, carried the cross on top of the mountain while all bleeding and nailed on the cross, giving his life for those who love him. Who am I to give such petty excuses.
Being lazy in bed.
Lousily stacked plastic bags.
After garnering some courage and energy, I got up. Glancing at my stacked cereal boxes, I then decided to place it inside my burlap sack, planting a bible tract inside the box with the good news the Lord has given us with a verse written on the front of the box how God saves a person.
Stacked cereal boxes.
Ephesians 2:8-9
I then picked up my jacket, got dressed went on my way at exactly 5:27 PM.
The face of "I don't know where to go but God will lead me".
While I was strolling through Heartwell Park, in plain sight, I saw a derelict pickup truck cluttered with a ton of plastic cans and bottles inside with a person on the front seat. While moving towards the truck, I have no clue if he was in need so I decided to pull out my cereal out of my burlap sack. He then made a "no" gesture with his head which signals that he probably had something to sustain him. Talk about embarrassment! But everything for the Lord :). We then exchanged smiles while I waved good bye.

Already 6:14 PM, night is slowly approaching. Praying in my mind that God may lead me to someone who is in need, physically but most importantly spiritually as I was slowly losing hope.
Night slowly approaching.
I then decided to go to the laundromat route since the street I was in was already close with the hopes of meeting Mark. On my way there, I was greeted by an empty road and in plain sight, I saw a young lady dragging her belongings patiently waiting for the stoplight signal to go on "walk". Approaching her with a smile, I then gave her my cereal telling her that this is from Jesus. If only eyes could talk, hers was filled with bliss while saying thank you in a highly satisfied yet soft tone. How I wish I could have given her more yet the best I can do is to pray for her. I then asked her name which is "Sarah". Please help me pray for her. May the Lord grant her protection, safety, guidance, provision and for her soul to be lead to our Lord Jesus Christ. I then left her with a God Bless and a smile, she happily did the same.
Sarah with her belongings.
While walking towards my way home, I noticed a pattern from the last three days who I had ministered to. All of their names are written on the bible. A little surprised but I could not really put much weight into it as these are common names that we use today.
Closing near home, tired, I then decided to wait for the bus. Pulled out my phone and it was already 6:56PM. Made it safely home with the joy in my heart and all I could say was this hour and a half journey dedicated to the Lord was well worth it.
While writing this at home, never have I thought that I would meet someone who is very grateful for the simplest things that I take granted for everyday. This only fuels my dedication to serve and yearn for the Lord's presence even more on how he has blessed me so much with my daily needs. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to give someone who is in need.
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "
